Modifiers

There are currently only the modifiers

• Plain
• Shift
• Control
• Shift + Control

available for an assignment. There might be the alt modifier available in future releases, but this would only give additional possibilities for key bindings and thus it does only widen the scope of possible useful key bindings.

There is no standard, which functions are to be invoked by the use of which modifiers, but there is a rough scheme, to which we should obeye when considering useful standardized shortcuts:
